Maritime Montering Wins Tender for Four ASD Tugs from Hooghly Cochin Shipyard, India

Maritime Montering India has secured a significant new contract for the full turnkey delivery of accommodation and HVAC systems on four 29-meter bollard pull ASD tugs.

Each tug will be outfitted with high-standard living quarters for a 12-member crew. Maritime Montering will be responsible for the complete interior accommodation and HVAC systems, ensuring modern, functional, and comfortable living spaces at sea.

“After a tight competition in the tender process, we are truly proud to be selected by Hooghly Cochin Shipyard,” said Joseph J. Alappat, Head for Purchase and Sales at Maritime Montering India. “This win demonstrates the trust placed in us as a reliable partner. It also marks a new chapter in our collaboration, following earlier material supply and flooring installation projects for catamarans in Hooghly Cochin Shipyard.”

The contract will be executed through a joint effort between Maritime Montering’s teams in Romania and India. The Romania unit will ensure timely delivery of overseas material while the Indian team (Marinor) will carry out the design, indigenous material supply, installation and on-site commissioning for this “Make In India Project”

This project highlights Maritime Montering’s growing presence  and capacity to undertake “Make in India” projects  across all major and medium size shipyards in India.
