Team Leader on Ship Interior Projects / Bjørvikstrand, Norway

We are looking for a Team lead for our service segment

Are you a hands-on project manager who likes technical challenges?

As a Team Leader for the Service Segment, you will play a key role in managing a team of operators and fitters working on ship interior projects. You will ensure efficient operations, adherence to project timelines, and the delivery of exceptional results. Your leadership and expertise will drive team performance and contribute to our continued success in the maritime industry.

Team leader duties

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of operators/fitters, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily activities to ensure timely and high-quality completion of service projects.
Manage workforce schedules, travels, tools, and materials to optimize efficiency in close collaboration with Project Director, Purchase team and our manning partner in Poland.
Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing queries and ensuring their expectations are met
Assist with technical guidance and problem solving
Ensure that all assignments are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
Monitor and report financial progress on projects.
Provide regular operational and financial updates to management on project progress, team performance, and resource needs.

Key qualifications

Technical school, but relevant experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.
Experience from similar roles like foreman, project management or team management is an advantage.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Problem-solving mindset, ability to work under pressure and quick decision making.
Must be able to work independently but also as part of a team.
Preferable forklift certificate
